๐ Summary: More from Less by Andrew McAfee

I decided to read More from Less from @pmarcas book recommendation list after he wrote ITS TIME TO BUILD. So far his recommendations haven't really been that helpful. Switching over to Vinod Khoshla's book recommendation list instead.
- More from Less is really just a history of dematerialisation - of how we [did/are doing] more with less. Itโs actually a really positive view of our future, IF we keep innovating at rapid pace.
- Turns out that economies that continue to innovate actually grow faster the bigger they become not the opposite.
- Cities are actually good for the environment vs being bad. This was surprising but makes sense. It's due to ecnomonies of scale, e.g. powering a tower block of flats/apartments is lower than 300 seperate buildings.
- The two take aways are: new tech & capitalism. These two together (used consciously and safely) will create better societies for everyone, with less use of natural resources. But if you take either away, youโre almost guaranteeing our destruction just a question of when.
Next book is Life on the Edge: The Coming of Age of Quantum Biology...
